Whoever thought Hip-Hop would make it to Congress? Not me...

Ok...I checked out Nahright.com yesterday and I seen that "we the people" had a Congressional hearing on Hip-Hop, In Washington D.C and presided over by an actual congressman. It was all over the lyrics, content, and the whole negative perception that our beautiful music genre has recieved by society. The voluntary witnesses that held us down were Levell "David Banner" Crump, who gave a suprisingly eloquent, yet powerful written speech about how these artists are simply products of their environments and how the positive aspects of this genre are overshadowed by the negative. The next witness was Mr. Ughhhhhh himself Percy "Master P." Miller who dropped some knowledge straight off of the top of his head. He stressed how he agrees that these artists are products of their environment, but they also need to realize that in order to better and preserve this art they need to grow up and become better role models. Last but not least was the honorable Dr. Eric Michael Dyson from Georgetown. He is the smartest brother that knows Hip-Hop on the face of the Earth, I can even sum up everything he said...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c1IMeX4LRI.

Overall, this is the best thing that has happened for Hip-Hop in a long time. Check it out it's worth the time.
