Shop Boyz, did anyone buy the album (If you did you're a loser)?

If I hear "Party like a Rockstar" one more time, I'm going to buy a gun and shoot myself. These cats are nowhere to be found after their one hit wonder. They're nothing more than a spin off of Dem Franchise Boyz (also corny), and I don't see them "changing the game" anytime soon. Not to hate on another brother but these are the type of talentless numskulls that deprive the masses of the real shit. This is no stab at the southern hemispheres newly found domination of the rap game either (because I bumps the south). I'm just tired of all these party fueled, ringtone happy singles which are created just for these money hungry record execs enlightenment. I don't know...maybe I care too much. Totally Dude!

Nightly food for thought (fueled by Talib Kweli's "Give Em' Hell"), An unofficial plug for "Ear Drum"

"Who is King James?(word)/And why did he believe it was so vital to remove chapters and create his own version of the bible"-Talib Kweli

First off I find it amazing that the majority of Wars in the history of mankind have been over religious ideologies. The Christian church was built to be a humble, selfless, sanctuary that embodied the life and legacy of Jesus Christ. In reality it has become a sanctuary full of elite, selfish people who overlook lifes real miracles, which consist of...umm...everything! This blog isn't meant to dimean or badger the Christian belief, but to examine and simply question this thing we call faith. If a teaching is not questioned it becomes the law of a tyrant. This album "Ear Drum", is full of thought provoking, mind boggling bars by Talib Kweli. Scrape up $10 in your sofa and pick it up rather than your biweekly dimesack, you might learn something.

I am...

I am the streets Basshead (pronounced Base-head), the addict to Hip-Hop music and culture. I'm known as being a "walking i-pod" because I rap/sing to myself all day and I use more Hip-Hop quotables in my everyday conversations than the Source has in their lifespan. I hail from Sandusky, Ohio, I'm a cat from a small city with big dreams. I'm a journalism major, minor in political science so expect some blogs about current events too. From the Dusk' to a computer near you I will provide nothing but the latest (real) Hip-Hop news that I find out and the way I read and research you'll find out a lot. If I'm not working or caressing a lady, I'm writing or researching trying to bring some authentic material to the table so we can make Stereo-Type what it should be, The best.
P.S.- From here on out expect a blog everyday...

Misfit...Who?

Yeah, I bet! How can you say you don't know me...oh, because you don't! The name is Murph The Misfit and I'm putting my foot in the door and I'm slamming it open with vigorous intentions. My style? Hip Hop Soul with a Rockers edge with no intent to change anytime soon. My name is Misfit because I just can't seem to fit in anywhere (really tried not to: Mission Accomplished). I'm your Chief-In-Editor, C.E.O. and dedicated writer. I'm here to make sure it gets said, read and fed to the masses. Hope ya'll got an appetite for authenticity.

We mean to get bREAD by all means necessary. I'm that hard-working intellectual with an open mind and a heart beat, ressembling the bass in your favorite hit song. I look at this thing called Hip Hop like it's the next best thing, well the third! My love for poetry comes first, the touch of a women is second and Hip Hop is a very close third. I'm that individual who has been stereo-typed on many ocassions and I feel it's about time to return the favor. Now originally I'm not a judgmental character but as of now things are going to change. I'm actually not here to be the usual, stereo-typical type; I guess I'm here to expose that act for what it really is. Excuse my french; BULLSHIT!!!

For those who know me, know that I'm about my passion 110%. Ain't no holding back the art inside the artist. Inside this blog you'll find the usual Stereo-Type Blogs, addressing current, future and classic albums. You'll read about the inevitable and discover the unimaginable. Stories, reviews and just open-minded articles from the Stereo-Type Mag. Ultimately, you'll also find my personal poetry addressing the same subjects intertwined with everyday life.

Ladies and gentlemen, Hip Hoppers and Rockers alike, welcome to "Judgment Day's Journal", Stereo-Type Magazine...The Blog. Why? Cuz We Blog TOO!

- Murph The Misfit - Chief-In-Editor/C.E.O.

Special Thanks and Shout outs: Smoove, my partner in crime, let's get it done fam. The rest of the growing S-Type family; Info, Basshead, Prince Pasker, Ashton, Lodie, Chris Peters and many more who've yet be established/official. Prodikal Ent.; wish ya'll the best of luck and see ya'll at the top. Our families and friends! Without you guys we wouldn't be who we are today. (Murph) "Mom I'm doing this for you. I would never have imagined my road to success empty. God knows I wish you were here in the physical to watch your boy grow to the man that he is today. I love and miss you dearly"

We in here!

Oh, yes...we are IN HERE. Your boy Smoove reporting for duty!

This is the very first of many blogs that will grace this webpage, so just sit back and enjoy.

Just to let you know, Stereo-Type Magazine, as of now, is a work-in-progress...but that doesn't mean that we can't start our movement. (Let me just say that when I use the word "movement", I don't mean that Dipset shit or whatever other cats who were just saying it because it sounds good...we really tryna get a movement movin'!) We are a Hip Hop magazine...we will focus on Hip Hop and many other aspects of the culture. We will also touch upon other genres of music, because Hip Hop may reign supreme, but all music is beautiful art.

To keep it simple, we are a couple of real ass individuals who live to achieve happiness as well as to keep it real as much as God-willingly possible. We can't be bought, we can't be discouraged, and we're too intelligent to be misled...and if I'm keepin' it real, we can't be stopped.

We feelin' like Hov when he said, "I will not lose!".

Signing off,
Smoove
